COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES |
18. COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES Building Purchase Commitment The Company has entered into a lease to buy agreement for the purchase of a building for €26,683. The agreement includes an option to purchase during the lease period with a commitment to purchase at the end of the 6-year lease period. The purchase price will be reduced by 60% of the lease payments made prior to purchase. Legal Proceedings The Company is not a party to any legal proceedings other than routine litigation incidental to its business. In the opinion of management, the amount of ultimate liability with respect to these actions will not materially affect the results of operations, financial position or cash flows of the Company. Insurance The Company accrues for certain health care benefit costs under a self-funded plan and records a liability for all unresolved claims at the anticipated cost to the Company at the end of the period based on management’s assessment. The Company believes it has adequate reserves for all self-insured claims. Letters of Credit In the ordinary course of business, we are at times required to post letters of credit. The letters of credit are issued by financial institutions to guarantee our obligations to various parties. We were contingently liable for $561 of standby letters of credit with financial institutions as of January 1, 2022. |
